Strong presence of TDHVL in International Conference on Dielectrics (ICD) 2024 conference in Toulouse

This year’s IEEE International Conference on Dielectrics (ICD) was held in Toulouse, France from 29th of June until the 5th of July. Eight members of the Electrical Power Engineering Group and the Tony Davies High Voltage Laboratory attended the conference. There has been a total of 7 posters presented at 5 different sessions by the members of the TDHVL. The posters covered a variety of topics, including insulation materials, space charge, modelling, aging, and degradation. One of the TDHVL research fellows, Dr Sunny Chaudhary, gave a presentation on the topic of nanodielectrics. 

At the conference, Professor Paul Lewin (head of the Electrical Power Engineering (EPE) group), on behalf of Dr Istebreq Saeedi (the chair of the IEEE UK and Ireland Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Chapter), announced that the University of Southampton will host the next ICD in 2026, which will be the 6th edition of the conference.
